Details
Summary
CVE-2023-48457 is a Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and earlier. This issue is DOM-based, meaning it exploits vulnerabilities in the way a web application handles user input. An attacker who successfully convinces a user to visit a maliciously crafted URL can inject malicious JavaScript code into the victim's browser, potentially leading to unauthorized access, data theft, or other malicious activities. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it can be triggered through simple URL manipulation without requiring any user interaction beyond visiting the URL. Users are advised to update their Adobe Experience Manager installations to the latest version as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
