Summary
CVE-2023-4812 is a vulnerability affecting GitLab Enterprise Edition (EE). Versions 15.3 to 16.5.6, 16.6 to 16.6.4, and 16.7 to 16.7.1 are all impacted. The issue lies in the CODEOWNERS file approval process, where an attacker can bypass the needed approvals by making modifications to a previously approved merge request. This bypass can potentially allow unauthorized changes to be merged into the repository.
