Summary
CVE-2023-48056 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting PyPinkSign v0.5.1. This software uses a non-random or static Initialization Vector (IV) in the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) Cipher Block Chaining (CBC) mode, making encrypted data predictable and susceptible to attacks. An attacker could potentially gain unauthorized access to sensitive information or intercept communications by exploiting this vulnerability. Users are strongly advised to update to the latest version of PyPinkSign to mitigate this risk.
