Summary

CVE-2023-4802 is a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability found in the UpdateInstalledSoftware endpoint of the Insider Threat Management (ITM) Server's web console. This vulnerability allows an authenticated administrator to execute arbitrary JavaScript in another web console administrator's browser. The affected products include all versions prior to 7.14.3.69 of the ITM Server. To remediate the vulnerability, organizations should update their ITM Server to version 7.14.3.69 or higher. The potential danger of this vulnerability lies in the fact that an attacker with high privileges can manipulate the web console and potentially gain unauthorized access or perform malicious actions within an organization's network infrastructure, compromising confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
