Summary

CVE-2023-47834 is a Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the ExpressTech Quiz And Survey Master plugin versions 8.1.13 and below. This issue arises due to improper neutralization of user input during web page generation. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by injecting malicious scripts into forms or URLs, which, upon being accessed by an unsuspecting user, can steal sensitive data or take control of their browser. This poses a significant risk, especially in enterprise environments where the plugin is used extensively. It is recommended that users immediately update their plugin to the latest version or consider disabling it until a fix is available to mitigate this threat.
