Summary

CVE-2023-47308 is a critical cyber vulnerability that affects the "Newsletter Popup PRO with Voucher/Coupon code" module (newsletterpop) before version 2.6.1 from Active Design for PrestaShop. This vulnerability allows a guest to perform SQL injection by exploiting sensitive SQL calls in the method `NewsletterpopsendVerificationModuleFrontController::checkEmailSubscription()`. The vulnerability can be exploited with a trivial HTTP call, posing a high risk to organizations as it allows attackers to forge SQL injections. The vulnerability has a base severity score of 9.8 and high impact on integrity and confidentiality. To remediate this vulnerability, affected organizations should update to version 2.6.1 or later of the module.
