Summary
CVE-2023-47261 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting Dokmee ECM version 7.4.6. The issue allows remote code execution due to a misconfiguration. During a GettingStarted/SaveSQLConnectionAsync request, the server unintentionally responds with a connection string granting privileged access to a SQL Server database. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by enabling xp_cmdshell, a powerful command-line processor, to execute malicious SQL commands. This weakness poses a serious risk, as it enables attackers to gain administrative control over the vulnerable system.
