Summary
CVE-2023-4726 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Ultimate Dashboard plugin for WordPress. This issue, which impacts versions up to and including 3.7.7, arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the admin settings. Authenticated attackers with administrator-level permissions can exploit this vulnerability to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages. The risk is heightened for multi-site installations and instances where unfiltered_html has been disabled. Successful exploitation can lead to the execution of malicious scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page.
