Summary

CVE-2023-47163, also known as the Billion Laughs Attack vulnerability, affects Remarshal prior to version 0.17.1. This vulnerability allows for the expansion of YAML alias nodes without limitation, which can lead to a denial-of-service (DoS) condition when processing untrusted YAML files. The vulnerability has a high severity rating with a base score of 7.5 according to [email protected]. The affected products include various versions of Remarshal (t0TPvn, t0TPvm, t0TPvl, etc.). To remediate this vulnerability, users should update their Remarshal software to version 0.17.1 or later.
