Summary

CVE-2023-47117 is a vulnerability affecting all current versions of Label Studio prior to 1.9.2post0, an open-source data labeling tool. The vulnerability allows attackers to insecurely set filters for filtering tasks, which can be exploited to leak sensitive fields character by character for all user accounts on the platform. Additionally, the vulnerability enables an attacker to forge a session token of any user by leaking account password hashes. The issue has been addressed in version 1.9.2post0, and users are advised to upgrade to this release. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability. The vulnerability has a base severity score of 7.5 (high) and poses a potential danger to organizations as it could lead to unauthorized access and exposure of sensitive information.
