Summary
CVE-2023-46889 is a vulnerability found in the Meross MSH30Q 4.5.23 device, which allows for the cleartext transmission of sensitive information. During the setup phase, the MSH30Q creates an unprotected Wi-Fi access point and requires the user to enter their Wi-Fi network name and password. The transmission of this information between the device and mobile application is observed on the Wi-Fi network, although the password is encrypted but can be decrypted due to a part of the algorithm being public.
