Summary

CVE-2023-46736 is a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability affecting EspoCRM, an open-source CRM software. In affected versions, the vulnerability lies in the `/Attachment/fromImageUrl` endpoint, which allows users to upload images from URLs. Attackers can manipulate these URLs to point to internal hosts, bypassing content type checks through redirects in some cases. This SSRF vulnerability can potentially be exploited to disclose internal information, target internal hosts, and bypass firewalls. Users are strongly advised to upgrade to the latest release version 8.0.5, which includes the patch in commit `c536cee63`. No known workarounds exist for this vulnerability.
