Summary

CVE-2023-46725 is a vulnerability found in FoodCoopShop, an open source software used by food coops and local shops. Versions 3.2.0 to 3.6.1 are affected by a server-side request forgery (SSRF) issue. The vulnerability allows a manufacturer account to use the "/api/updateProducts.json" endpoint to send requests to arbitrary hosts, potentially enabling unauthorized access to the internal network where the server is located. Additionally, inadequate checks on valid images create a time-of-check time-of-use issue, making it possible for an attacker to exploit the server as a proxy and perform SSRF attacks. The vulnerability has been fixed in version 3.6.1 of the software. The impact of this vulnerability is rated as high, with potential risks to confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data within an organization using FoodCoopShop.
