Summary
CVE-2023-46404 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting PCRS versions below 3.12. The "Questions" page and "Code editor" page in the software contain a remote code execution (RCE) issue. An attacker can exploit this flaw by escaping Python sandboxing, allowing them to execute arbitrary code remotely. Successful exploitation could lead to significant security risks, including data theft, unauthorized access, and system takeover. It is recommended that users upgrade to the latest version of PCRS to mitigate this vulnerability.
