Summary
CVE-2023-46383 is a vulnerability affecting LOYTEC electronics GmbH's LINX Configurator version 7.4.10. The issue lies with the use of HTTP Basic Authentication, which encodes usernames and passwords as base64 before transmission. This cleartext transfer exposes user credentials to potential attackers, enabling them to intercept and steal passwords, ultimately granting unauthorized access and full control over Loytec device configurations.
