Summary
CVE-2023-4637 is a vulnerability in the WPvivid plugin for WordPress, affecting versions up to and including 0.9.94. The vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to access data without authorization by exploiting a missing capability check on the restore() and get_restore_progress() functions. This can be achieved if the attacker has access to a backup ID. The potential danger posed by this vulnerability includes unauthorized access to sensitive information and the ability to obtain full file paths. To remediate this issue, users should update their WPvivid plugin to a version that is not affected by this vulnerability.
