Summary
CVE-2023-46306 is a cyber vulnerability that affects NetModule Router Software (NRSW) versions 4.6 before 4.6.0.106 and 4.8 before 4.8.0.101. The vulnerability allows an authenticated user to execute arbitrary commands with elevated privileges through the web administration interface by exploiting unsanitized user input in the device_id parameter of the /admin/gnssAutoAlign.php page. This vulnerability is different from previously fixed CVEs, namely CVE-2023-0861 and CVE-2023-0862. To remediate this vulnerability, users should update their software to version 4.6.0.106 or later for NRSW 4.6, and version 4.8.0.101 or later for NRSW 4.8, which contains the necessary fixes to address the issue. The potential danger posed by this vulnerability is high, as an attacker could gain unauthorized access and execute arbitrary commands with elevated privileges on affected systems, potentially leading to further compromise of the organization's network and sensitive data.
