Summary

CVE-2023-46245 is a vulnerability found in versions of the Kimai web-based time-tracking application prior to 2.1.0. It is classified as a Server-Side Template Injection (SSTI) which can be escalated to Remote Code Execution (RCE). The vulnerability occurs when a malicious user uploads a specially crafted Twig file, taking advantage of the software's PDF and HTML rendering functionalities. The danger lies in the potential for an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected system. As of now, there are no available patches or known workarounds for this vulnerability.
