Summary
CVE-2023-46242 is a vulnerability in XWiki Platform, a generic wiki platform used for building applications on top of it. The vulnerability allows for the execution of malicious content with the privileges of any user through a crafted URL. To exploit this vulnerability, the user must have "programming" privileges. The issue has been patched in versions 14.10.7 and 15.2RC1 of XWiki, and users are advised to upgrade to these versions. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability. The potential danger posed to organizations is significant, as an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code and gain unauthorized access to sensitive information or disrupt the functioning of the affected systems.
