Summary

CVE-2023-46238 is a vulnerability affecting the ZITADEL identity infrastructure management system. This vulnerability allows an attacker to inject code into an SVG image, which can be executed during rendering and potentially grant unauthorized access to a victim's account. To exploit this vulnerability, the victim would need to directly open the malicious image in a browser with an active session in ZITADEL. The issue has been fixed in versions 2.39.2 and 2.38.2 of ZITADEL. The potential danger this vulnerability poses to organizations is the unauthorized access to user accounts, which could lead to data breaches or misuse of sensitive information.
