Summary

CVE-2023-46229 is a newly disclosed vulnerability in LangChain before version 0.0.317. This issue allows for Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF), enabling an attacker to make requests that originate from the victim's server instead of their own. The vulnerability lies in the document_loaders/recursive_url_loader.py component, allowing an external server's response to be fetched and processed as if it were from an internal server. This can potentially lead to unauthorized information disclosure or server manipulation. It is recommended that users upgrade to the latest version of LangChain to mitigate this risk.
