Details
Summary
CVE-2023-46218 is a vulnerability that affects the curl library, permitting a malicious HTTP server to set "super cookies" that can be transmitted to unrelated sites and domains. This issue arises due to a flaw in curl's function that verifies cookie domains against the Public Suffix List (PSL). The vulnerability allows a cookie to be set with a mixed-case domain, such as `co.UK`, even when the URL uses a lowercase hostname, like `curl.co.uk`. This can result in cookies being sent to unintended origins, potentially leading to unauthorized access or information disclosure.
