CVE-2023-4614 is a critical vulnerability that allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on installations of LG LED Assistant. The vulnerability exists within the /api/installation/setThumbnailRc endpoint and is caused by the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability, posing a significant danger to affected organizations. The impact includes high integrity and confidentiality impacts, with an availability impact also being high. To remediate the vulnerability, it is recommended to apply the necessary security patches or updates provided by LG.
