CVE-2023-46129 is a vulnerability that affects the NATS.io pub-sub distributed communication technology, specifically the nkeys library version 0.4.0 through 0.4.5 and NATS server versions 2.10.0 through 2.10.3. The issue lies in the library's handling of encryption, where all encryption is done using an all-zeros key instead of the intended key. This vulnerability only affects encryption, not signing. The nkeys Go library version 0.4.6, corresponding with NATS Server 2.10.4, includes a patch to fix this issue, and no known workarounds are available.
