Summary

CVE-2023-46128 is a vulnerability in Nautobot, a Network Automation Platform built as a web application. In Nautobot 2.0.x, certain REST API endpoints, when combined with the `?depth=<N>` query parameter, can expose hashed user passwords stored in the database to any authenticated user with access to these endpoints. However, the passwords are not exposed in plaintext. The vulnerability has been patched in version 2.0.3. This vulnerability poses a medium risk with a base severity score of 6.5 according to [email protected], and it has a high impact on confidentiality. The affected products include various versions of Nautobot (t0RzZU, tO6vqZ, tO6vqY, etc.). Remediation involves updating to version 2.0.3 or later to mitigate the risk of this vulnerability.
