Summary

CVE-2023-46124 is a vulnerability in the Fides open-source privacy engineering platform. The vulnerability allows a malicious user to perform arbitrary requests to internal systems and exfiltrate data outside the environment, known as a Server-Side Request Forgery. This occurs due to a lack of proper validation in the Fides web application when connecting to internal resources. The vulnerability affects various products and has been patched in Fides version 2.22.1. The potential danger includes unauthorized access to internal systems and the potential exposure of sensitive data.
