Summary
CVE-2023-46123 is a vulnerability affecting jumpserver, an open-source bastion machine and security audit system. The Core API contains a flaw, enabling attackers to bypass password brute-force protections. They can do this by spoofing arbitrary IP addresses and making unlimited password attempts, each seemingly originating from a different source. Consequently, this issue poses a significant risk for unauthorized access attempts. The vulnerability has been mitigated in version 3.8.0 of jumpserver.
