Summary
CVE-2023-4598 is a vulnerability affecting the Slimstat Analytics plugin for WordPress. It allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions or higher to inject SQL queries into the plugin's shortcode, due to insufficient escaping on user-supplied parameters and lack of proper preparation of existing SQL queries. Consequently, attackers can extract sensitive information from the database. This issue affects versions up to and including 5.0.9 of the plugin.
