Summary

CVE-2023-45722 is a vulnerability affecting HCL DRYiCE MyXalytics, specifically a path traversal arbitrary file read vulnerability. This vulnerability occurs because the product utilizes external input to construct a pathname that is meant to identify a file or directory within a restricted parent directory. However, the product fails to properly neutralize special elements within the pathname, potentially allowing it to resolve to a location outside of the restricted directory. This vulnerability poses a high risk as it can be exploited to completely disrupt or take over the application. The affected products include vVeTLq, vVeTLr, and vVeTLp. To remediate this vulnerability, organizations should apply any available patches or updates provided by HCL.
