Summary
CVE-2023-45614 is a vulnerability that affects multiple products, including Aruba's access point management protocol (PAPI) and underlying CLI service. It is a buffer overflow vulnerability that can be exploited remotely by sending specially crafted packets to the PAPI UDP port (8211). Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code as a privileged user on the underlying operating system. The vulnerability has a base severity rating of CRITICAL and poses a high danger to organizations as it can lead to unauthorized remote code execution with high impact on integrity and confidentiality.
