Summary
CVE-2023-45281 is a vulnerability affecting Yamcs 5.8.6. An attacker can exploit this issue by uploading a crafted HTML file, which allows them to obtain the session cookie. This vulnerability poses a significant risk as session cookies are often used for authentication and unauthorized access to sensitive information. Users are strongly advised to update to the latest version of Yamcs to mitigate this threat. The vulnerability does not require user interaction and can be exploited through specially crafted files. Successful exploitation results in the attacker gaining unauthorized access to the affected system.
