Summary

CVE-2023-45040 is a buffer copy vulnerability that affects several QNAP operating system versions. This issue allows authenticated administrators to execute code via a network by copying unchecked input data into a buffer. The vulnerability has been addressed in QTS 5.1.4.2596 build 20231128 and later, as well as in QuTS hero h5.1.4.2596 build 20231128 and later.
