Summary
CVE-2023-44994 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Bainternet ShortCodes UI plugin versions 1.9.8 and below. An attacker can exploit this flaw to perform unintended actions on a user's behalf within the same website domain. By intercepting and manipulating a valid request, they can force the user to execute unwanted functions, potentially leading to data theft or unauthorized modifications. To mitigate this risk, users are urged to update their plugin to the latest version as soon as possible.
