Summary
CVE-2023-4491 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting Easy Address Book Web Server version 1.6. An attacker can take advantage of this issue by sending an excessively long username string in a POST request to the /searchbook.ghp endpoint. By exploiting this vulnerability, the attacker could potentially execute arbitrary code on the targeted machine. This poses a significant risk for unauthorized system access and potential data breaches if not addressed promptly.
