Summary
CVE-2023-44762 is a newly disclosed Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Concrete CMS versions 9.2.0 to 9.2.2. Successful exploitation of this issue enables attackers to inject and execute malicious scripts on vulnerable websites. This could lead to unauthorized access, data theft, or website defacement. The vulnerability exists within the Tags feature of the Concrete CMS Settings module, allowing an attacker to craft a specially crafted script that is executed when a user views a page with an affected tag. To mitigate this risk, it is strongly recommended that users upgrade to Concrete CMS version 9.2.3 or later, which includes a patch for this vulnerability.
