Summary
CVE-2023-44402 is a vulnerability that affects apps using the Electron framework with the `embeddedAsarIntegrityValidation` and `onlyLoadAppFromAsar` fuses enabled on macOS. This vulnerability can only be exploited if the attacker has write access to the app's filesystem. The recommended remediation is to update to a patched version of Electron. The potential danger posed by this vulnerability is that an attacker could modify files inside the `.app` bundle, bypassing the intended protection provided by these fuses and potentially compromising the integrity of the application.
