Summary

CVE-2023-44386 is a denial of service vulnerability affecting all users of certain versions of Vapor, an HTTP web framework for Swift. The vulnerability occurs when the HTTP1 error handler closes connections instead of passing them on in the event of HTTP parse errors. The issue has been resolved in Vapor release 4.84.2. This vulnerability poses a medium-level threat to organizations, with a base severity score of 5.3 out of 10 and an impact score of 1.4 out of 10. There are no privileges required for exploitation, and user interaction is not necessary.
