Summary

CVE-2023-44385 is a vulnerability that affects the Home Assistant Companion for iOS and macOS app up to version 2023.4. This vulnerability allows attackers to perform Client-Side Request Forgery, enabling them to make victims unknowingly call arbitrary services in their Home Assistant installation. The security advisory recommends upgrading to version 2023.7 as it addresses this issue. If exploited, this vulnerability could result in full compromise and remote code execution (RCE), posing a high risk to organizations. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability, making the upgrade the only solution to remediate the issue.
