Summary
CVE-2023-44252: Fortinet FortiWAN versions 5.2.0 through 5.2.1 and 5.1.1 through 5.1.2 contain an improper authentication vulnerability (CWE-287). A malicious actor who is already authenticated can exploit this issue by sending crafted JWT token values through HTTP or HTTPs requests. Successful exploitation may lead to privilege escalation. Fortinet urges users to update their FortiWAN systems to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
