Summary

CVE-2023-44195 is an Improper Restriction of Communication Channel vulnerability in the NetworkStack agent daemon (nsagentd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated network-based attacker to cause limited impact to the availability of the system. Specifically, certain packets that reach the Routing-Engine (RE) will be processed even if firewall filters should have prevented them, leading to a potential Denial-of-Service (DoS) and unauthorized access. The affected products include various versions of Junos OS Evolved, and remediation involves updating to the recommended versions specified in the advisory.
