Summary

CVE-2023-44124 is a vulnerability that affects the Screen recording app ("com.lge.gametools.gamerecorder") on certain products (lAMRr5, nn8kgA, sYyJEm, sYyJE8). The vulnerability allows for the theft of arbitrary files with system privilege. This occurs because the app launches implicit intents that can be intercepted by third-party apps installed on the same device, which can return arbitrary data. As a result, the app saves contents of arbitrary URIs to the SD card, which is a world-readable storage. The potential danger posed by this vulnerability is considered low, with a base severity score of 3.3 out of 10. To remediate this vulnerability, users should update their affected products to the latest version or apply any security patches provided by the product manufacturer.
