Summary

CVE-2023-44084 is a newly disclosed vulnerability that affects Tecnomatix Plant Simulation V2201 (all versions prior to V2201.0009) and Tecnomatix Plant Simulation V2302 (all versions prior to V2302.0003). The issue lies in the way these applications parse specifically crafted SPP files. An out-of-bounds read vulnerability is present, which allows an attacker to read data beyond the allocated structure. Exploitation of this weakness could result in code execution in the context of the current process.
