Summary
CVE-2023-43823 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting Delta Electronics' DOPSoft software. This issue involves a stack-based buffer overflow, which can be triggered by a remote, unauthenticated attacker when parsing a specific field, named wTTitleLen, in a DPS file. By crafting and convincing a user to open a maliciously designed DPS file, an attacker can successfully execute arbitrary code remotely. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, especially in industrial automation contexts, and requires immediate attention and patching from affected organizations.
