Details
Summary
CVE-2023-43801 is a vulnerability affecting the Arduino Create Agent, which is used to manage Arduino development. The vulnerability lies in the `/v2/pkgs/tools/installed` endpoint and the way it handles user-supplied plugin names in HTTP DELETE requests. An attacker who can make HTTP requests to the localhost interface or bypass the CORS configuration can delete arbitrary files or folders belonging to the user running the Arduino Create Agent, potentially leading to data loss or system compromise. Users are strongly urged to upgrade to version 1.3.3 to mitigate this issue, as there are currently no known workarounds.
