Summary
CVE-2023-43669 is a denial-of-service vulnerability impacting the Tungstenite crate before version 0.20.1 used in Rust. An attacker can exploit this flaw by sending an excessively long HTTP header during a client handshake. The length of the header triggers numerous parse attempts, leading to significant CPU consumption and service disruption for minutes. Each parse attempt also processes large amounts of data, potentially causing memory exhaustion.
