Summary

CVE-2023-43650 affects JumpServer, an open-source bastion host, which is vulnerable to brute-force attacks on the 6-digit verification code used for password resets. The codes, which range from 000000 to 999999 and are valid for only 1 minute, can potentially endure up to one million validation attempts. JumpServer users, who receive these codes via email to reset forgotten passwords, are advised to upgrade to versions 2.28.20 or 3.7.1 to mitigate this issue. No known workarounds are currently available.
