Summary
CVE-2023-43496 is a vulnerability affecting Jenkins 2.423 and earlier, as well as LTS 2.414.1 and earlier. This issue arises from the creation of a temporary file in the system temporary directory during plugin installation from a URL. With default file permissions, an attacker gaining access to this directory can replace the file before it is installed in Jenkins, ultimately leading to arbitrary code execution.
