Summary
CVE-2023-43477 is a vulnerability affecting the Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 (Arcadyan LH1000) with firmware versions below 0.18.15r. The issue lies in the ping_tracerte.cgi component of the web UI, where the ping_from parameter fails to undergo proper sanitization. Consequently, an authenticated attacker can exploit this flaw to perform command injection with root privileges on the device.
