Summary
CVE-2023-43250 is a newly disclosed buffer overflow vulnerability affecting XNSoft Nconvert version 7.136. An attacker can exploit this issue by providing a specially crafted image file that triggers the buffer overflow in the user mode. This vulnerability could potentially be used for a Denial of Service (DoS) attack or, in more sophisticated scenarios, for code execution, posing a significant risk to affected systems. Users are recommended to update to the latest version of Nconvert as soon as possible to mitigate this threat.
