Summary
CVE-2023-43241 is a newly identified stack overflow vulnerability affecting the D-Link DIR-823G v1.0.2B05 router. The issue arises due to improper handling of the TXPower and GuardInt parameters in the SetWLanRadioSecurity function. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by crafting a maliciously crafted packet to trigger a stack overflow condition, potentially leading to a denial-of-service scenario or remote code execution. Successful exploitation could allow an adversary to gain unauthorized access to the affected device or launch further attacks on the connected network. It is recommended that users update their routers to the latest firmware version to mitigate this risk.
